Teammate kudos
Kudos is a small, specific thank-you for effort behind the results. Any current platform member can recognise a teammate, including officers. It is not a score, an attendance judgement or an automatic reward entitlement.

Give someone kudos
Find the teammate
Open Teammate kudos → Give kudos. Search the current roster and select the player you want to recognise.
Choose what made a difference
Choose Teamwork, Helping others, Great effort, Making progress or Leading by example. You do not need to write a message.
Send your thanks
Check the selected teammate and reason, then send. You can recognise up to three different teammates per game day, once each. You cannot send kudos to yourself.

A teammate helped organise a difficult event even though they were not the top scorer. Choose them, select Helping others, and send your thanks. Officers can see that recognition in aggregate without seeing who sent it.
Players who have not joined Last Command yet
Current placeholder roster members can receive kudos. They cannot send it and have no account inbox to notify yet. The roster label makes this clear.
When an officer merges the placeholder with the correct platform account, its eligible received kudos carry through to that account. The original retention period and daily limits do not restart, and the merge does not replay historical notifications.
What each person can see
The recipient can see their received kudos, including the teammate who gave it. The sender can see their own sent list. Officers see received totals, reason counts and the number of different givers, but not the sender of each kudos.
There is no public popularity leaderboard. Records are kept for 90 days. Receiving can be turned off from the Received tab.
Private notifications
The notification update adds a private “You received kudos” inbox alert for new kudos to registered players. The notification does not show the sender or reason on the lock screen. It opens the Received tab in the correct alliance.
Push is optional in Received and also requires device permission. This does not send an email or post kudos to the alliance Discord channel. Withdrawn kudos, old records and placeholder merges do not generate fresh alerts.
Check What’s new before expecting the new notification behaviour; it requires the backend update and, for the native Received link, the updated iOS app.
Review recognition across a full alliance
R4/R5 officers can open Officer overview and choose 7, 30 or 90 days. Start with recognised teammates, or include the whole roster. Search by name and filter by reason; results are alphabetical and shown in small pages.
Use recognition alongside recorded contributions and context. No kudos can mean that someone’s work has not been noticed; it does not prove they are inactive. VIP suggestions are prompts for judgement, not an automatic ranking of who deserves a reward.
